About Me

I am a Filipina-born Kiwi. I was born in the Philippines but moved to New Zealand when I was only five years old. While I have grown up as a Kiwi, I have never forgotten my roots. I love travel and because you're reading my blog, I assume you do too.

I have two passions in life and travel is one of them. The purpose for this is for me to record memories from recent travel adventures but also to help out any other fellow travelers on their journeys. I hope to also meet and learn from other travelers or travel bloggers out there as well; expand my network and expand my travel experiences.

If you're wondering about the title it is simply because I have a strange obsession with backpacks, and it was also quite fitting being a travel blog, and secondly, ice cream is my vice . Hot or cold weather, night or morning I can have it at any time. Also, with ice cream it is a comfort food for me so on the days or nights of being so far away from home I always find a spoon (or tub) of ice cream will always ease the homesickness.

I was living and teaching in South Korea, which lasted for about 2 years. Right after, I decided to travel South East Asia and America for about 6 months before heading back to New Zealand to figure out the next chapter in life!
